Rihanna for Harpers Bazaar US
This shoot with Rihanna for Harpers Bazaar presented several technical issues. It was shot by Mariano Vivanco in the outskirts of LA with a Hasselblad H5X. On the first day, we flew wing to wing with the red biplane to shoot it in the sky. We were shooting from our plane with an open door, so it was essential to have minimal equipment in our plane, safety feathers for the photographer and all the equipment, and spare equipment. On the second day we shot Rihanna on the airplane in the ground, having to match lighting and angle to the first shot, therefor on set retouching and comping was essential to the outcome of the photograph.
